Bathroom design
We design bathrooms as complete technical and visual projects: layout, waterproofing, lighting, tiling and joinery drawn to the millimetre, so the contractor builds exactly what you approved on the visualisation.
The bathroom is the most technical room in any apartment and the most expensive one to redo. Behind the tiles sit plumbing, waterproofing, ventilation and electrics, all of which have to be decided before the first tile is cut. A mistake in the layout is not a matter of taste, it is a wall that has to come down again.
That is why we treat bathroom design as engineering as much as decoration. You receive a set of drawings that answers every question a contractor might ask: where the drain sits, how the tiles are laid out on each wall, at what height the sockets and the shower mixer go, which way the door swings and how the ventilation is routed. The visualisation shows what it will look like, the documentation makes sure it gets built that way.

The problems that decide whether a bathroom works
Three areas where most bathroom projects either succeed or go wrong, regardless of budget.
Small bathrooms
In a bathroom of 4 to 6 square metres every centimetre is a decision. A walk in shower instead of a bath, a wall hung basin with a shallow cabinet, a door that slides rather than swings. We test several layouts before choosing, because the difference between cramped and comfortable is usually 10 centimetres in the right place.
Bathrooms in old buildings
Prewar tenements bring high ceilings and thick walls, but also gravity ventilation, old risers and floors that are rarely level. We check what can be moved and what cannot before the design is fixed, so the drawings match the building rather than an idealised plan.
Master bathrooms and wet rooms
With more space the questions change: how to separate the wet zone, where the freestanding bath actually looks good, how to light a stone wall without flattening it, and how to keep a large surface of natural stone from turning cold. Here the material selection matters as much as the layout.
How we work on a bathroom
A bathroom is usually part of a larger project, but it can also be designed on its own.
Survey and layout
We measure the room, check the position of risers, ventilation and existing drainage, then propose layout options. At this stage we already know what would require moving a drain and what the building will allow.
Visualisation and materials
You see the bathroom in 3D with the actual tiles, fittings and lighting we propose. We adjust until it is right, then lock the selection so that everything specified is available to order.
Drawings and delivery
You receive tile layouts, plumbing and electrical points, joinery details and the specification. During the works we stay in contact with the contractor and verify the tiling set out before it is fixed, because that is the point of no return.

How long does it take to design a bathroom?
A single bathroom designed on its own usually takes 3 to 5 weeks, including the survey, layout options, visualisations and the full set of drawings. As part of a whole apartment project it runs in parallel with the other rooms and does not extend the overall schedule.
Can the bathroom layout be changed completely?
Usually yes, within limits set by the building. Moving a basin or a shower is normally straightforward, while relocating a toilet depends on the distance to the riser and the available floor build up for the fall. In prewar buildings the ventilation ducts often decide what is possible. We check this during the survey, before proposing anything.
Do you provide tile layout drawings?
Yes, for every wall and the floor. This is the drawing that decides whether the tiling looks intentional or improvised: where the full tiles start, where cuts fall, how joints line up with the drain, the door and the mirror. It is also the drawing contractors most often ask for and rarely receive.
How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Warsaw?
The finishing cost depends mostly on the tiles, the sanitary ware and how much of the installation has to be redone. We prepare a specification with real products and prices, so the budget is verifiable before anything is ordered, and we flag which choices drive the cost most.
Do you work with English speaking clients?
Yes. Meetings, correspondence and your documentation are in English, while the drawings handed to contractors are prepared in Polish so nothing is lost on site. We act as the single point of contact between you and the trades.
